Average temperature of 26 degrees with a strong south easterly wind. The days are warm with cool evenings. The sea is rough and not clear enough for snorkelling. Otherwise, water sports are excellent for this time of year such as water skiing, windsurfing and kayaking. Deep sea fishing for tuna, king fish and dorado is also very good.

Average temperature of 27 degrees with light and calm seas. The days are warm with cooler nights. The short rains are expected this time of year but showers are usually sharp and short. Snorkelling becomes excellent and Sailfish are expected from Mid November.

Average temperature of 30 degrees and above with strong north easterly wind, calm seas in the morning and stronger winds in the afternoon. Great conditions for snorkelling, windsurfing and sailing.

Average temperature of 32 degrees and excellent conditions all round. Snorkelling and fishing are great this time of year. The monsoon winds begin to change with light rain showers by the end of April, with the rains beginning fully in May.

This is when the rains are expected and the roughest seas conditions making all water activities limited, however, Lamu is still lovely in the rainy season
